I like the simple interface but we need more depth here. Need more details for each player and more position options. Like I said good start though.

I was very pleased with this application. I would like the ability to specify my rotation based on position preference (ie. Left of Right Field) Also would like to see line ups of 1:1:3:4:2 or 1:4:4:2

Best soccer coach app in the store. Simple interface during game time makes it work without missing game time. Would love to sub by specific position. Coach Pipchuk

This app is good. Just wish I could transfer info from iPad to iPhone.

Improves with each update. Id like to have the option of locking a player to a position, and increasing/decreasing play time for individual players game by game, while still using the auto functions.

This is a great idea for an app however it is very buggy and under developed. Save your money and wait for several updates before purchasing.

I wanted an app that was fast to configure and super easy to use on the field. This is. After you set up your players, you can let this thing automatically assign who plays where or you can do it yourself. Also, theres a cool screen (not the screen shot they show above) that lets you tick off each player as they arrive for a game ... EASILY. So when you are ready to assign positions, only those guys that actually made it to the game. Scoring is really easy and fast too. I had one problem with it, but the dev guy(s) responded almost same day with a fixed version. I think they are probably players themselves and wanting to share a tool they use. They seem to be VERY responsive to questions. Anyway, I recommend it ... its great for what I wanted.

I am a soccer coach...just got the app, it works great...I sent in some ideas a got a reply within an hour....since that conversation that tech is allowing me to send in more ideas for coachbob....get the app if your a coach

This is the first review Ive written. I was looking forward to this working but it just isnt working for me. It wont let me assign a keeper even though the position is open. That blows everything else it can do since the idea is to maintain stats and playing time during a game. I really wish it worked...or, had my three bucks back.

Im just a dad coaching youth soccer and am learning the game as I go. This app has been a huge help managing player substitutions. And, it is way more reliable than a parent on the sidelines with a clip board. Once you have it set up, it takes very little of your attention during the game to use it. My main purpose in buying it was to manage substitutions. For the age-level I coach, U9, we do mass substitutions, so when it is time to sub, I just push the button and it randomly assigns players to positions. Five minutes later, we do it again. Since they at so young, we encourage them to play all positions. It is easy, however, to retstrict a player (like your goalie) to a position until you decide to make a change. One important tip if you buy: Coach Bob is VERY EASY to use, but dont attempt to set it up 5 minutes before your first game. Set it up well in advance and play with it while you are at work or sitting on the couch. That way you wont be surprised/frustrated when you start the game. Same tip applies if there is an update. One update loaded a bunch of new features and I was stumbling a bit when the game started.

This application looks like it will be an ideal tool for gameday management and balancing playing time between players. A few features it would be nice to see added would be statistics tracking like Saves, Goals, Assists, Yellow & Red Cards, Corner Kicks, Free Kicks and others. Having this functionality would turn this nice application into a great one for the youth soccer coaches of the world....

Very hard to use and non intuitive. This is not an app that is easy enough to use during a game. I picked up iCoach Soccer and its a much more polished and complete solution.

This is the beginning of a great app. Few display bugs on iPad like selecting attendance during a game - fails to display. Overall a good app for coaches. Features Id like to see - overall player time tracking. Quick notes on things player did well or areas for improvement. Skills tracking. A few more 8v8 formations. Tracking Shots on goal, corner kicks, saves, assists, goals scored for the season.

This app has some major potential! However, it crashes when I am subbing players. Get a fix-it update and I will rank 5 stars.

Just what I need to manage my team.

Nothing is as simple as carrying a whiteboard, but my whiteboard doesnt keep track of scoring, attendance and time! It takes a little effort to set-up and use, but its worth the effort. I keep coming back to Coach Bob and it gets better every update.

I saw this app was recently updated so I figured I would try it for the money. I am regretting that decision now. The app is hard to use and I consider myself a fast learner for software products as I work In the software market. Definitely needs more work on setting up substitutions. I was hoping to use it for an 8 v 8 team. Now I am just looking for a refund.

I manage two AYSO teams (U16 girls). This app is perfect for managing the teams and setting lineups to include substitution rotations and keeping track of time each player plays. The developer is very responsive to ideas.

This is a pretty good app. The big problem I have had over the past two updates is that each time the app is updated, it deletes all stored data. This could be a backup issue related to the computer I have the iPad synced to, but its a little frustrating that Ive lost four seasons of data over the last two updates. Fortunately, I have paper backup of all stats...which begs the question as to why I use the app.
